We’d love to go on about all the ways Solstice at Rio Norte can accommodate and cater to you, but our residents and families do it so much better! Read all the great things our family has to say about us below.
My 3 daughters say that I made the right choice choosing to live here
My ideas of the value of living at Solstice retirement center is all positive because of the experiences I have. You will find at this retirement center all the accommodations that a person needs. For instance, the rooms are adequate, ordained in such a way that are very accessible. Also, I must express myself about the activities for variety in your day or week which are very conducive towards being happy, especially on Fridays when there is a DJ and treats to eat at these assemblies, and many other activities throughout the week to keep elderly people active. My impression about the food is it’s all good and some is better, professional dietitian on charge I’m sure, and the cooks are very good about putting out the food on time. Great variety and good service as the meals are being distributed. Another thing about Solstice is that there is a bus that runs 3 days a week and gives us transportation to go to doctors’ appointments and grocery shopping as needed. I enjoy also, on Saturdays, I attend a chapel service. Residents here have free access to go to undenominational chapel services, Catholic services, or Bible study sessions. My 3 daughters say that I made the right choice choosing to live here.
Edward W., Resident
The best in El Paso
What a great place! The manager really gets to know the residents and treats them like family. I have dinner with my mom three times a week, and the food is fantastic. The chef makes a green chili macaroni and cheese that is delicious. This is a great place for family members to age in a place with people their age. They’re the best in El Paso.
Very Caring for My Mother
Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte is very good. It’s a lot better than where my mom was before. My mom’s room is very nice and she has access to use the washer and dryer. It’s a one-bedroom with a kitchenette, living room, and lots of closet space. We’re also paying a lot less there than the previous place she lived. She has cable TV included. The people have been very nice and my mom is very happy. She also says the food is great. For the first month that a resident is there, family members could eat free with them, which was amazing. They’ve been nothing but professional and very caring for my mother.
Clean, well-managed, and caring for Seniors
Kind, Professional Staff
The staff are kind, professional and responsive. There are a variety of units ranging from one-bedroom to stand-alone houses. The grounds are beautifully kept and the food’s amazing. My mother-in-law just moved here and my husband and I are grateful she’s in such a nice place.
Affordable Community with Great Food
We visit Rio Norte in El Paso several times a year. My father has been living there for about two years now and he really loves it, and best of all, it is pretty inexpensive compared to other places … and way less expensive than retirement living in places like Phoenix, Sun City, Sun Lakes, and Tucson (Arizona). We have always found the management team to be very responsive to our needs. Meals are very good – usually very healthy. Everyone raves over all of the desserts – and I too can attest their desserts are excellent. I think it would be difficult to find a better retirement community for yourself or your loved one. I highly recommend Rio Norte!
Friendly and Clean
Management is amazing, friendly, and compassionate. The food is top notch. The entire place is spotless!
Best place for independent seniors 55 and older.
A Wonderful Experience
My parents have lived there for 2 years now and it’s been a wonderful experience. There’s lots of activities, transportation to doctor's appointments, housekeeping services and access to personal services at an additional cost, if needed. I highly recommend Solstice!
